From the Desk of Father John

We hear this week from the book of Exodus in the First Reading. Moses and the people of Israel have just been liberated from slavery in Egypt and have crossed over into the desert near Mount Horeb in the Sinai peninsula. In this week’s reading, the Israelites engage in their first major battle since being freed from the Egyptians. They come into conflict with the Amalekites who tried to annihilate the Israelite people.

St. Gregory Women's Guild October Social

Please join us for the “OCTOBERFEST” Women’s Guild Social. Burgers and Fixin’s will be served. If you would like to bring a beverage, dessert, or chips, to go with the burgers, you will receive a raffle ticket at entry sign-in. We will have a guest speaker, who will be discussing a very important topic, “Poison Control,” with information that will be relevant to all. We can’t wait to see you all soon.

  • When: Tuesday, October 21, 2025. Doors open at 6:45 pm
  • Where: St. Gregory’s Parish Center
  • Who: All current and former Women’s Guild members and any interested women of the parish. We extend a warm welcome to our new women parishioners – We can’t wait to meet you!
  • Cost: WG Membership $35 per year (good through April) / Guest fee $10

The Women’s Guild is a social ministry that serves as a support network for all women of the parish, connecting them with one another and the parish community. Members foster friendships through fun social, service and spiritual activities both at St. Gregory parish and the surrounding community. We also are a welcoming arm for all women of the parish and a great support system for our Women’s Guild members. We meet the 3rd Tuesday of each month, September-May, 7:00 pm in the Parish Center.

This program was created to strengthen Catholic Men in their Faith and Virtue as Missionary disciples by drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ through Prayer, Formation and Fraternity.
