Lenten Holy Hours with Confessions

Join us each Wednesday during Lent 5:30–6:30pm (Feb 25th; Mar 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th; Apr 1st)

Spend an hour with the Lord in Eucharistic prayer and take advantage of the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Confession is a personal encounter with the mercy of Jesus Christ where sins are forgiven, hearts are healed, and grace is restored.

How to make a good Confession:

  • Prayerfully examine your conscience.
  • Express sincere sorrow for your sins.
  • Confess your sins honestly and simply.
  • Receive absolution and complete your penance.

Confessions are also heard every Saturday at Lourdes from 3:00–3:45pm.

Light Is On Campaign: Monday, March 30
Confessions from 4:00–7:00pm at Lourdes.

Return to the Lord this Lent. His mercy is waiting.

Make Daily Mass Part of Your Lenten Journey

Lent is a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving. One of the most powerful ways to deepen your prayer this Lent is by attending Daily Mass. Even one additional Mass during the week can strengthen your relationship with Christ and anchor your day in grace.

At Mass, we are nourished by the Word of God and the Holy Eucharist the true Body and Blood of Jesus. | Daily Mass is quieter, more intimate, and a beautiful way to grow in devotion during this sacred season.

Daily Mass Schedule at Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish:

  • Lourdes Campus
    Mon, Wed, Fri | 8:15am
    Tues & Thurs | 6:45am
  • Rosary Campus
    Tuesday | 8:15am
  • St. John’s, New Hartford
    Mon, Wed, Fri | 6:45am

Rosary is prayed at 7:45am on weekdays, immediately before the 8:15am Masses. Consider choosing one extra day each week to join us. Give the Lord a little more time this Lent and allow Him to give you even more grace in return.

Lenten Wednesdays

Lenten Wednesdays: Soup Suppers & Adult Catechesis Series

Wednesdays During Lent • Seton Center

Lent is a sacred season of repentance, renewal, and deeper conversion of heart. It is a time when the Church invites us to slow down, take an honest look at our lives, and respond more intentionally to the call of Christ. This Lent, Mary, Mother of Our Savior Parish invites our parish family to journey together through Lenten Wednesdays an evening of community, formation, and hope.

  • 6:30–7:00pm • Lenten Soup Suppers • Seton Center
Each Wednesday during Lent, parishioners are invited to gather for a simple, meatless meal shared in community. Our Lenten Soup Suppers are a cherished tradition and a meaningful expression of Lenten simplicity, solidarity, and fellowship as we prepare our hearts for Easter together.
  • 7:00 PM • Lenten Adult Catechesis Series • Seton Center
Immediately following the soup supper, we will gather for our Lenten Adult Faith Formation Series, based on the book
Return: How to Draw Your Child Back to the Church by Brandon Vogt.

This powerful and practical resource serves as a guide for parents, grandparents, and families longing to help loved ones reconnect with the Catholic faith. Many families carry quiet grief as children and loved ones drift away from the Church. This series offers a hope-filled, faith-grounded response inviting us to move beyond passive waiting toward intentional prayer, understanding, and loving action.

Through guided reflection, discussion, and practical application, we will explore real reasons why young people drift from the Church and discover compassionate, faithful strategies for responding to this reality with courage and trust in God.

Parishioners may pick up a copy of the book at the parish office in the Seton Center in advance of the series. Reading ahead is encouraged but not required to participate.

This Lenten series flows directly from the desires expressed by our parish family in the Disciple Maker Index (DMI) Survey for deeper adult faith formation and greater confidence in living and sharing the Faith.

All Are Welcome
Whether your children are actively practicing the faith, struggling, or have been away for many years or whether you simply care deeply about the future of the Church this series is for you. Come for one evening or for the entire series.

Let this Lent be a season not only of sacrifice, but of hope, healing, and renewed mission, as we walk together toward Easter trusting in God’s power to bring His children home.

Stations of the Cross

Lent invites us to slow down.
To walk with Jesus.
To place our lives alongside His Cross.

The Stations of the Cross lead us step by step through the final journey of Jesus from His condemnation, to His suffering, to His death and burial.

As we move from station to station, we remember that Christ did not suffer from a distance.
He entered fully into human pain, weakness, and love for us.

Each station offers a moment to pause.
To pray.
To reflect.
To unite our own struggles, griefs, and hopes with the saving love of Christ.

Whether you have prayed the Stations for years, or have never attended before, this simple and powerful devotion is a beautiful way to enter more deeply into the season of Lent.

Stations of the Cross are prayed every Friday during Lent:

  • 12:30pm – Rosary Campus (Burrstone Road)
  • 5:30pm – Lourdes Campus (Genesee Street)

Come for one Friday.
Come for many.
Come as you are.

Let this prayer help prepare your heart for the saving mystery of the Cross and the joy of Easter.

Special Collection

The Special Collection taking place on this First Sunday in Lent is for the Black and Native American Mission population. This mission campaign helps to support the evangelization programs in the United States. Mission communities exist in almost every diocese in the U.S. Missionary priests, religious, catechist and devoted lay people work tirelessly in parishes and reservations to promote the faith.

Through our prayers, generosity and sacrifice we share in spreading the gospel of Christ’s love in black and Native American communities across the land.
