Celebrating the True Presence of Christ Among Us

Dear Parish Family,

On Sunday, June 22nd, I will be leading our parish in a Eucharistic Procession in observance of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi.

This celebration lies at the very heart of our Catholic faith and offers us a profound opportunity to renew our belief in the True Presence of Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist.

Eucharistic Procession

Save-the-Date for Parish Eucharistic Procession: Father Hage will be leading our parish in a Eucharistic Procession on Sunday, June 22nd in observance of the Solemnity of the Most Holy Body and Blood of Christ, also known as Corpus Christi.

This will be a beautiful way to honor/celebrate the True Presence of Christ in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

This solemn procession will take place in between the two Sunday morning Masses on Sunday, June 22nd at 9:30am (Lourdes: 2222 Genessee Street, Utica).

Bible Study

Our Parochial Vicar, Fr. Pawel has graciously offered to lead our parish in a four-week Bible Study every Wednesday at 9:00am (concluding on June 18th).

We are so excited about this opportunity. Fr. Pawel is leading parishioners through the Books of Pentateuch (Books of Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy) that feature the stories of Moses and the chosen people. Join Father Pawel on Wednesdays in the Seton Center following the 8:15 daily Mass at Lourdes.

Coffee and donuts will be served! All are welcome!

Communion to the Sick & Homebound

Eucharistic Ministers Training: Father Pawel and Deacon Stan will be holding a special training on Monday, June 23rd at 6:15pm at the Seton Center for anyone interested in bringing Holy Communion to the Sick & Homebound in our parish.

Our parish goal is to arrange for monthly visits to parishioners who are Sick and/or Homebound. We can do this with the help of generous volunteers who would like to serve as Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion. This training will focus on two categories of visitations: one group will be trained on how to bring Holy Communion to those at home; another group will be trained on how to bring Holy Communion to those in assisted living facilities. Anyone interested in serving as Extraordinary Eucharistic Ministers at Mass would be welcome to attend this training as well.
