From the Desk of Father John
In the First Reading this week, we see the difficulties that the prophet Jeremiah endured for the sake of following
God and speaking out against the evil that he witnessed. Jeremiah was thrown into a cistern and left to starve to death.
In the midst of his suffering and because of his faithfulness, the Lord saved him and drew him out of the pit to which he
had been thrown.

Music for America presents Summer Strings
August 16 at 4:00 pm Mass
Music for America presents Summer Strings Quartet at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church.
The quartet is in South Florida as part of Music for America's "Summer Strings" program and we are happy to welcome them to St. Gregory.
The Quartetto Orfeo will play before and during the 4:00 Mass on Saturday, August 16th.

Legion of Mary

The Legion of Mary is a worldwide Catholic organization
of lay people. Members meet weekly to pray and
discuss their service, which includes visiting homes,
parishes and the sick.
The Legion provides an
opportunity to deepen your faith, grow closer to Jesus
and Mary and serve the community. Everyone is
welcome to attend a meeting.
