Our readings today remind us of the larger story of the Bible, of God’s purposes and promises for the world. Because of humanity’s rejection of God, as told in Genesis, human communities were first dispersed. I saiah proclaims that one day God will gather these communities to be healed and reconciled with God.

In Luke’s Gospel, Jesus echoes Isaiah and teaches that all peoples in God’s promised future “will recline at table in the kingdom of God.” Notice that in Isaiah, the nations coming to God do not lose their ethnicity or unique identity. They bring their own distinct cultural gifts to God’s table. Each people has its unique history with God, has received distinct blessings from God, and each is accountable to God. Today, we live in a global and multi-cultural Church. When God’s diverse peoples gather in worship today, may we honor and celebrate each other’s gifts and blessings.

Twenty-first Sunday in Ordinary Time
O God, who cause the minds of the
faithful to unite in a single purpose,
grant your people to love what you
command and to desire what you
promise, that, amid the uncertainties of
this world, our hearts may be fixed on
that place where true gladness is found.

Son, who lives and reigns with you
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
God, for ever and ever.

El Pueblo De Dios Se Reúne

Nuestras lecturas de hoy nos recuerdan de la historia más amplia de la Biblia, de los propósitos y promesas de Dios para el mundo. Debido al rechazo de Dios por parte de la humanidad, como lo narra el libro del Génesis, las comunidades humanas fueron las primeras en dispersarse. Isaías anuncia que un día Dios reunirá a estas comunidades para sanarlas y reconciliarlas con Dios.

En el Evangelio de Lucas, Jesús hace eco de Isaías y enseña que todos los pueblos del futuro prometido por Dios “se sentarán en la mesa del Reino de los Cielos”. Date cuenta de que, en Isaías, las naciones que se acercan a Dios no pierden su identidad étnica o única. Ellos traen sus propios dones culturales inconfundibles a la mesa de Dios. Cada pueblo tiene su historia única con Dios, ha recibido bendiciones distintas de Dios, y cada uno es responsable ante Dios. Hoy, vivimos en un Iglesia global y multicultural. Registration for our Catechetical Program ends on August 31st

Are you ready?

Dear Parents, Grandparents, and Parishioners in General:

Our Catechetical Program requires that our children receive their religious education once they start their first grade at school. We highly recommend you register your children in the Religious Education early too. The formation begins from their first or second grade up to completing the Sacrament of Confirmation.

We would like you to sign up for early registration of your child/ children for the 2022-2023 school year; we are lowering the base cost to $100.00 (1st child), with additional children at $40.00 each and an additional charge of $25.00 each, for the sacraments.

• Early registration saves you $25.00 per family.
  Early-registration dates will be May 8 -August 26, 2022.

Please make your payment at the time of Registration to guarantee enrollment.

The Parent’s meeting will be Thursday, September 8th, 2022, at the Parish Hall, and classes will begin Tuesday, September 13th, 2022.

Early registration savings ends on August 25th, and the standard base cost of $125.00 will go into effect from August 26th, 2022. Enjoy your summer, and we look forward to seeing you soon! Religious Education Office.

Nuestro Programa Catequético requiere que nuestros hijos reciban su educación religiosa una vez que comiencen su primer grado en la escuela. Le recomendamos que inscriban a sus hijos en la Educación Religiosa temprano. La formación comienza desde su primer o segundo grado hasta la finalización del Sacramento de la Confirmación.

Nos gustaría que inscriba a su hijo/hijos para el año escolar 2022-2023; estamos reduciendo el costo base a $100.00 (1er niño), y los niños adicionales serán $40.00 cada uno y un cargo adicional de $25.00 cada uno, para los sacramentos.
